How to make a Field Journal

You can buy a folder that has side pockets for your field notes. Or, you can make one.

Here's what you need:
2 pieces of construction paper 12x18.
Tape
Glue

Here's what you do:
1. Fold one paper in half the "short, fat way" to make the journal book cover.
2. Then, open it up.
3. Fold the other paper in half the "long, skinny" way.
4. Put glue on on one side  of the skinny paper (the back side not the inside!).
5. Glue the skinny folded paper to the bottom of the journal cover (so the folded edge is on the bottom) to make the pockets.
6. Tape the sides of the pockets (so your papers won't fall out).
7. Let the glue dry for a few minutes.
8. Decorate the cover. Don't forget your name.
