A WebQuest for Backyard Birders

Task
This is what you will do:

Introduction

Your task is to find out what different kinds of birds need to survive, and plan a good habitat for them.

1.	Make up birder teams with 2-4 people on each team. Think and talk about how you will work together.
2.	Choose 4 birds to identify. Use Field Guides to learn about birds. Learn about their field markings, diet, habitat, and where they roam.
3.	Compare your birds to find out how they are alike or different. Make a chart.
4.	Use what you learned to plan, fix, or find a habitat that will be good for all of your birds.
5.	Observe birds that visit the habitat. Identify the birds and record their behavior.
6.	Tell how you might change the habitat to attract other kinds of birds.
